When all is said and done…

it was a good day.

I was able to talk to a very special lady today, even though we we not able to see each other. For me, just saying I was talking to someone special is a good thing. I guess that is the special part. 😉

Then I had a long talk with my little sister. We haven’t had a chance to talk for a whole, so it was nice to reconnect. Idle chitchat about things happening in our lives, a search for a wandering grumpy dog, talk of flip top noses, getting old, and new things in our lives. A nice time.

Then I did a chore I despise more than any other. I did laundry. Not having a working machine at home means a trip to the laundry mat. Usually a boring time, but as luck would have it I ran into another friend and we had wonderful conversation.

After that I talked to my youngest for just a bit, but it was nice to hear her voice on the phone.

Throw in a couple of quick updates on Facebook, and a Detroit tiger win tonight, yes it was a good day

  1. Ah, laundry. It just hasn’t been the same since the basement flood destroyed our dryer (again). The washer still keeps giving though. It’s a good day today as well I would say- a weekend day. 😀

    I’m glad you’re doing well. 🙂

  2. I’m thankful to have really great laundry facilities here on the first floor of my home, but I have my own complaints – I do laundry for 7 people, and a parrot screams at me when I do it. I am thankful for the luxurious facilities, but it’s still one of my least favorite household chores – we have that in common.
Glad you had a good day!

  3. I personally enjoy laundry… I put it in the washer… go about my day and in approx 30 – 45 mins later I switch out the clothes from the washer to the dryer… then when the clothes are dry I turn on the tv and fold the clothes… by the time my laundry is done I have watched a movie or 2…. now my least favorite thing about the laundry chore is this….. the pile, no matter how small, seems to continually take on a life of its own….but thanks to hollywood there is no short supply of movies/tv shows I want to watch.. 🙂 Now, let’s talk about washing the silverware….Grrrrrr

  4. The never-ending pile of laundry & dishes; I was just talking about that with my brother two chores that just don’t ever seem to get done. 🙂 I’m glad you had a nice day.
