Taters of the Lost Ark

My lovely eldest daughter bought me a toy. It was the latest Mr. Potato Head, complete with Indiana Jones Costume. Since I am a big Indy fan, this was a real treat. I’m just waiting to get the “BIG” Lego set, I just don’t know where I would put it.

The newest installment of the Indiana Jones series comes out this Thursday. While I would love to be there on Opening night, there may be other things that keep me from the movie house. I’m sure I will see it this weekend, but the exact day is up in the air.

I’d like to say something insightful or thought provoking about the movie, but I’m just making this up as I go along.

  1. I WILL go opening night… no rehearsal = movie night definitely. I am jealous I want an Indy Tater Head 🙁 It’s not the years… It’s the mileage. don’t say anything insightful or thought-provoking until the movie is actually released.

  2. Things that will prevent me from going opening night: packed theaters and sold-out movies. I will wait a couple of weeks, thank you very much. But I would like to see this on the big screen at least.

  3. Never seen an Indiana Jones movie. C wants to get me up to speed, then maybe I will be excited about the new one… I’m surprised the local theater has it, and I’m excited to see they will also have Steve Carell’s latest, Get Smart.

  4. I told him I’d watch Indiana Jones if he’d watch Walk the Line with me. No dice. I got him to watch Gone With the Wind with no problem months ago, but he wants no part of Walk the Line – go figure. Congrats on your ‘tato head. I would like the Lego set too – not cuz it’s Indiana Jones, but because any big Lego set is cool. My retirement is going to consist of playing with Legos all day since mine have to be stashed away in storage with all these little kids around all the time 🙁
Oh yeah – if you see the movie on Thurs in B town, it’s BYOB night – you bring your own bag or container (any size!) they will fill it with popcorn for free!

  5. Say what? The movie buff you are, and you’ve never seen any of the Indy movies?? Well, you will enjoy them- get watchin’!

How about the new video game? Like Lego Star Wars there is now Lego Indiana Jones.

  6. Walk the Line was actually a fairly decent movie. This is from someone who doesn’t care for country music and Johnny Cash specifically.

    Indiana Jones is the best!

  7. All I have to say is the title of this post is awesome! Taters of the Lost Ark. Now THAT is hilarious!

  8. I got that from my Mr. Potato Head Box. My darling daughter has Darth Tater and Spud Trooper. We are looking for R2 Potatoo. But shes a Star Wars fanatic.
