Trying to write more

image_pdfimage_print

Here I am watching Julie and Julia and I decided that I needed to do something to keep me blogging everyday. I am thinking about blogging on the movies that I watch, but if anyone else has any other ideas, I would like to hear them. Maybe if I had multiple things to write about, I would be able to keep up with this. I don’t do a lot of interesting things in my life to write about everyday.

So hopefully I will be able to figure out something. Hope to hear some suggestions soon!

  1. Why don’t you write your fan fiction here? Part of a chapter every day or so? I’m interested in reading it….

  2. THAT WOULD BE SO AWESOME! I’d be sure to read! Love me some SW fan-fic or any thing you have to share!

  3. When I was blogging every day, I would do movie and tv show reviews, write about my family or pets, or I would write about interesting / funny / sad news stories I read about since I’m a headline junkie. I’ve stopped writing as much, mostly due to time constraints, not for lack of material – I have about 20 drafts waiting to be written without the time to write them. I’ve found that I can take anything from my daily life, no matter how boring, and write about it and people will comment. Then again, I find daily life interesting; if I found it boring, I probably wouldn’t want to write about it and if I did, it might be boring for others to read. Maybe it is boring for them to read, but no one’s said anything… But anyway, the blog is mostly for me – it’s a family diary of sorts, a log of these years when the kids are growing up, and a place for me to give my opinions on anything I want – a place to vent feelings without worrying about seeking out a listening ear or being judged.
For you, I think you should write about your pets, your work, and I think the fan fiction is a good idea too. I also have written about animals – I would choose a species and research it; this way I got to share my fascination with animals and learn about them at the same time. I would love to hear about your summer (summers?) as a zoo teen! Or you could write about your faith… Life as a newlywed… Good luck, and I’m looking forward to hearing from you more often! 🙂

  4. I’m afraid I can’t give you valid suggestions on blogging every day seeing as I am lucky to get one out once a week! I suppose all it really takes is a want to write, and you will think of something each day, even if it’s a post about how you have blogger writer’s block.

  5. Definitely the fanfic, or any short story ideas. Funny stories from when we were kids. What the cats are doing right now. I have an iGoogle page (If you have gmail, you have a page. Email me for directions.) and I have a quote of the day. Perhaps something like that would inspire you?

  6. I have several ideas of my own, but the want to write just isn’t there so much these days sadly. Something will change eventually though and I will write more again. No gmail account for me at the moment.

But this is about you- you write, I’ll read. 🙂
